Children Penalties Essay

All through America it appears that adolescent youngsters are perpetrating very serious violations. Individual schoolmates and instructors are being killed by adolescents as youthful as eleven and thirteen. Thus, a significant issue has been brought up, should kids who carry out a genuine wrongdoing face the punishments as and grown-up? Do these children know what they are doing? What's more, more critically do they know the results of their activities. The focuses that I’m going to layout are kids don’t know/know the results of their activities, unforgiving discipline has little impact, young people are progressively adult so they know the outcomes of their activities, the thought of equity, youngsters might not have been given satisfactory job modals, adolescents ought to be given brutal disciplines so others won't duplicate them, kids grow up with firearms and it’s the shooters obligation not the weapon utilized. The individuals who accept that adolescents ought to get grown-up punishments for genuine violations regularly guarantee that the little youngsters are not completely mindful of the wrongdoing they carry out and devastation that will influence the survivors of the wrongdoing. For instance in a taking shots at Jonesboro, where an eleven and multi year old shot dead four school young ladies and an instructor, pundits recognized that the assault wasn’t submitted at the off the cuff or under the prompt impact of forceful feeling. Rather they guarantee that the killings were exceptionally arranged and cautiously did. The two adolescent executioners were noted to provided themselves with an entryway away vehicle, wore disguise dress, chose a high vantage point structure which to shoot, baited their guiltless casualties out by trigging an alarm and sat tight for the school ways to consequently bolt before starting to shoot. (Mclnerney, J, 1994: page 2) The contradicting view is that kids as they would like to think can't get a handle on the results of their activities. A youngster who murders presumably doesn’t understand the irrevocability of death thus doesn't completely comprehend what he/she has done when they take someone’s life. Correspondingly, it is asserted that kids are probably not going to be prevented for a wrongdoing since they are startled of a coldblooded discipline. As indicated by this line of contradiction most youngsters are indiscreet and have a guileless thought inâ their own eternality. This implies kids are probably not going to consider potential disciplines preceding perpetrating a genuine wrongdoing and are probably not going to have the option to try and imagine punishments like life in prison being concerned them. This point was made by kid therapist William Licamele, who guaranteed, † At age 11 or 12 child are typically self-retained, narcissistic, mysterious, they don’t figure anything can transpire, there will be no retribution† (Mclnerney, J, 1994: page 4) This implying the danger of cruel discipline won't keep them from carrying out a wrongdoing. In this manner, it has been contended that applying grown-up punishments to youngsters who carry out genuine violations will have next to zero impediment impact. Then again, adolescents ought to get grown-up disciplines; completely planned homicides (like the Jonesboro have been supposed to be) are the same since adolescents have submitted them. This point addresses climate or not the youthful wrongdoers are enough mindful of the expense of their activities to be held lawfully at risk for them. Mr. Gerard Henderson, official executive of Sydney foundation, has summarized this purpose of plan. He guarantees, † I positively recognize what I was doing when I was 13 and 11. I presume that Mitchell Johnson and Andrew Golden (shooters at Jonesboro) additionally comprehend what they were doing† (Mclnerney, J, 1994: page 2) Mr. Gerard Henderson additionally asserts, † Those days it is progressively acknowledged that most youngsters develop generally early and that, in a scholarly and recreational sense. Most are moderately autonomous by 16 † (Mclnerney, J, 1994: page 2) This shows youth are progressively full grown thus its contended that they are increasingly equipped for valuing the results of their activities than youngsters in the previous years. Concentrating on the discipline of these alleged â€Å"more mature† young people is shallow, as the reason for the wrongdoing submitted is most likely outside the control of the youngsters. As indicated by this line contention, the overall population is bound to have the option to keep these violations from happening in the event that they canâ discover why they are occurring, as opposed to concentrating on the discipline of the individual guilty party. This recommends youngsters who perpetrate genuine wrongdoings are in all likelihood casualties of advancements of society or inside their own families that they are not liable for. For example same specialists have recommended that military breakdown, the crumbling of more distant family and families were the two guardians work may all be factors adding to kid wrongdoing. (Mclnerney, J, 1994: page 4) Numerous individuals state that it doesn’t matter that a kid carried out the wrongdoing, however that the harmed he/she caused to the casualty is the equivalent regardless of the age of the culprit. Mitchell Weight, whose spouse was one of the five executed at Jonesboro asserted, † It doesn’t matter that those were young men. Their age has nothing to do with the way that they killed my better half and four others† (Mclnerney, J, 1994: page 3) Those who state that the wrongdoing and the harm ought to continue as before regardless of the age of the guilty party appear to imply that the discipline ought to be that equivalent. This contention depends on the thought of equity. The individuals who influence genuine damage to others ought to be given a proportionately serve punishment for their violations. Kids may have carried out a wrongdoing that has caused genuine mischief due to having had karma of direction and passionate help. The kid may experience the ill effects of sentiments of abandonment, distance and harmed confidence. Which can urge them to rich out at others. Such kids might not have been given sufficient job modals to assist them with adapting to whatever hardship they will experience in their lives. Kids who lavish out at others and become adolescent guilty parties should get similar punishments to grown-up violations with the goal that other youngsters won't duplicate them. This point was put by Mr. Gerard Henderson, he contended and said that, † The Jonesboro shooting was nevertheless the latest in a rush of schoolyard murders where young men or youngsters have killed understudies and instructors. Who is to state the delicate treatment of one youthful killer won't support another? † (Mclnerney, J, 1994: page 3) Social orders, for example, the United States where weapons are comprehensively acknowledged and whereâ even little youngsters are prepared in the utilization of firearms, are giving youthful guilty parties a mean of transforming their high school outrage and disdain into murder. On the off chance that weapons were not all that broadly accessible, at that point the greater part of the acts of mass violence would have never occurred, the kid with the feeling of complaint would have communicated it in a structure, for example, battling, truancy or noncompliance in class. It has been asserted that kids prepared since the beginning in the utilization of firearms might be desensitized to conceivably grave results. Kids acquainted with weapons at an early age may straightforward view firearms as one more toy. Despite the fact that firearms are generally accessible that contradicting view is that you can’t accuse the accessibility of weapons for any wrongdoing submitted utilizing them. A nearby in Jonesboro expressed, † You lay a firearm on the table and an a long time from now the firearm will at present be there, except if somebody contacts it† (Mclnerney, J, 1994: page 4) This contention is stating that the duty regarding the shooting rests with the shooter, not the weapon. I for one accept that it relies upon the guilty party, climate it was submitted from a forceful feeling or an arranged butcher. Whichever way they should initially go into a program to support them. However, in the event that it was an arranged butcher, simultaneously of being in a program they ought to get rebuffed as a grown-up so they realize that they can’t pull off it and nobody else ideally won't duplicate what they have done. The issues that I have shrouded in this exposition are that kids don’t know/recognize what they have done, brutal discipline doesn’t function admirably, adolescents have grown up significantly more rapidly, on the off chance that they hurt somebody the guilty party ought to get the equivalent measure of discipline, they have has nothing but bad job modals, delicate treatment will make different adolescents duplicate the wrongdoers wrongdoing, firearms are part if the adolescents life since early on and it’s not the weapons duty of the wrongdoing that they have submitted. What is homosexuality - Free Essay Example

What is homosexuality? The Bible never uses this term, though from time to time it does refer to behavior to which we now refer as homosexual. Homosexuality is the desire for and the experience of sexual behavior between members of the same sex. This way of understanding homosexuality shows the importance of consent between two adults, as Paul suggest in Romans 1:26-27, â€Å"because people did those things, God left them and let them do the shameful things they wanted to do. Women stopped having natural sex and started having sex with other women. In the same way, men stopped having natural sex and began wanting other men. Men did shameful things with other men, and in their bodies, they received the punishment for those wrongs.† This passage in Romans 1 is one of only a handful of passages in the Bible that directly relate to homosexuality. Homosexuality is mentioned only two or three times in all of the Old Testament. According to the Gospels, Jesus does not even talk about sex between men or of sex between women. This silence is probably a result of the common and widespread rejection of relations between people of the same sex in Israel and the church. The community of God’s people, in both the Old and New Testaments, appears to have assumed that everyone would recognize that homosexual practices are not allowed by God. The Old Testament law refers to a man having sex with another man as â€Å"a hateful sin† (Leviticus 18:22), and this view of things seems to have been taken for granted throughout the Bible. This does not mean that we receive no help from the Bible on the question of homosexuality. Questions about homosexuality must always be understood the larger category of human sexuality as treated in the Scriptures. Like sexual practices of all kinds, sexual relations between people of the same sex do not exist as a separate category for discussion. Instead, homosexuality must be understood as one part of a much larger discussion about sexuality and marriage, and about faithfulness as God’s people. According to Genesis 1-2, it is together, as man and woman, husband and wife, that people must be understood as one part of a much larger male and female, they reflect the image of God and are able to fulfill God’s instructions to them (Genesis 1:27-28). In marriage, a man and woman are united and â€Å"become one body† (Genesis 2:24). In the same way, when Jesus speaks of marriage and divorce, he assumes the uniting of a man and a woman in marriage (Mark 10:6-9). The Bible undoubtedly affirms sexual relations between a woman and a man who are married to each other. We should not be surprised, then, when we read biblical texts that reject sexual relations between men or between women. Desires of this kind and the sexual activities that accompany them are signs of something gone wrong in God’s creation. Homosexuality results from people rebelling against God’s intentions for human beings. According to Paul, homosexuality is one kind of proof that sin is active in the world (Romans 1:18-32). He even writes that those who practice homosexuality will not inherit the kingdom of God. This is true even though Paul’s churches included people who had had sexual relations with people of the same sex in the past (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 1 Timothy 1:10). The Bible does not make a clear distinction between people who are homosexual by orientation and people who engage in homosexual behavior. These are modern categories. However, the message of the Bible is compatible with this way of thinking. One can understand the orientation of homosexuality because of sin at work in the world. If one were to act on one’s homosexual orientation through sexual activity with a person of the same sex, this would be more than a consequence of sin at work in the world. It would be between the human condition (we need God’s grace already at birth) and subsequent sinful acts that separate us from God. Homosexual behavior, like all sexual relations outside of marriage, is immoral. This does not mean that homosexuality is an especially â€Å"bad† sin, however. Paul rejects homosexuality as one of the sins that result from the rebellion of the human race against God. But he also describes as people who disobey God those who are greedy, get drunk, rob others, and so on. In fact, in Romans 1 he talks about selfish people, people who gossip, and children who disobey their parents as sinners in just the same way that women who have sex with other women or men who have sex with other men are sinners. This is a reminder that God wants all of us to be faithful to him in every part of our lives, and that no kind of sin is worse than any other in God’s eyes. This is also a reminder that God’s love and offer of forgiveness are not held back from those who desire and experience sexual relations with others of the same sex. Like the rest of us, homosexuals are people among whom God is at work so that we all might be members of God’s family.

Chicago was a big city that had a major problem that centered around people taking matters into their own hands by killing individuals for various reasons. These guns were permitted for use due to the Bill of Rights. As a result, Chicago banned people from having handguns. The court decided that it is the fundamental right for people to own handguns but this right was written years ago and they did not acknowledge the fact about the reality in Chicago. 258 students were shot and 32 were fatally injured. The Living Martyr free essay sample

Through the novel, In the Time of the Butterflies, Julia Alvarez took the tragic story of the Mirabal sisters and made it her own. She molded and developed the Mirabal sisters into relatable characters over the course of the novel as to make the deaths of Minerva, Maria Teresa, and Patria even more traumatic to the reader. Although Dede did not fight the regime with her sisters, she still suffered because of Trujillo. Even though Dede lived, she can still be considered a martyr because her life was altered by Trujillo’s dictatorship. To start off with, Dede’s martyrdom can be attributed to the sacrifices she made. Dede had to sacrifice her personal life. After the death of her sisters, there were six children that had to be raised. Dede and her mother stepped up to the plate and took the responsibility of caring for the motherless children. Dede raised Minou, Manolito, and Raulito and her mother raised Jacqueline, Nelson, and Noris. We will write a custom essay sample on The Living Martyr or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page Dede also sacrificed her private life to people inquiring about her sisters (Alvarez 316). Every year when November 25th rolled around, television crews arrived, a celebration was held at the museum, and Dede gave obligatory interviews (Alvarez 3). All of them wanted to hear the heroic tale of the Mirabal sisters and inevitably forced Dede to relive painful past. She even wondered when she stopped receiving visitors recounting the events of that horrid night and when she became oracle (Alvarez 312). In these ways and many others, Dede made great sacrifices. Additionally, Dede underwent emotional struggles as part of her martyrdom. When her sisters would visit the men in jail, Dede would become a nervous wreck. On their last journey to the prison, Dede stood by the jeep preventing it from leaving. She told Minerva, â€Å"I’m going crazy with worrying. I’ll be the one locked up forever, you’ll see. In the madhouse. †(Alvarez 288) As a reaction to her sister’s death, Dede was paranoid of her relatives being on the road after dark. After her interview, Dede scolded Minou for traveling so late while recounting that if only her sisters had waited until morning to cross that mountain road they might still be here today (Alvarez 173). Also, the day Dede was notified of her sisters’ death was one of the greatest emotional struggles. She had been  awake all that night worrying about Minerva, Mate, and Patria when she received word of the accident. All of her friends marveled at her behavior always mentioning that she should have seen herself. When she laid eyes on her sisters in the morgue, she was hysterical (Alvarez 301). The fact that Dede could deal with the myriad of emotional struggles and have the strength to continue life is another reason to deem her a martyr. Finally, Dede suffered an immense amount of personal losses. The most obvious loss, of course, is that of her sisters. Dede made known on several accounts that she wanted to be dead with them, until Jaimito made her realize that living without them was her personal martyrdom (Alvarez 308). She also lost her father after he was convicted and died from a heart attack in prison. Dede later began to question these losses as true losses and began to see them as people being set free (Alvarez 317). Some might believe that Dede is not a true martyr; however, she knew that her fate was tied up with her sisters and she stated, â€Å"if they suffered, then I suffered too, and if they died, I would not want to continue living without them† (Alvarez 193). Making that statement proved her martyrdom and that she was the bigger person who could learn to live with heartache. In conclusion, Julia Alvarez perfectly weaved together the intricate lives of the Mirabal sisters in order to show martyrdom. Minerva, Maria Teresa, and Patria all died for the sake of their country, subsequently inducting them into martyrdom. However, Dede’s personal martyrdom was to be alive without them. Pollution Analysis Essay Example

Pollution Analysis Paper Analysis Pollution can take many forms. The air we breathe, the water drink, the ground where we grow our food, and even the increasing noise we hear every day all contribute to health problems and a lower quality of life. Pollution is every,Inhere. Pollution is the unwanted introduction of substances that harm or destroy the atmosphere and our environment. The Economy is slowing third world nations have political unrest. Our culture is more focused on obtaining material possessions then addressing our geological problems. In this essay I am going to identify the history, causes of pollution, effects on our planet, and the solutions to the Problems of pollution in our world. With the growth of cities and industrialization urban waste and pollution are an important part of history. From the rise of the first urban settlements until the emergence of mega cities in the 20th century, the scale and intensity of pollution has increased. Here is a brief history of pollution on our planet. In Ancient Civilizations air pollution was common it came from dust, wood smoke, tanneries, animal manure and other things. Water pollution was less ever in come civilizations. Israel and Hindu cities tend to have less pollution due to strict religious codes about cleanliness. During the Middle Ages in the Renaissance area timbering in the foresting in England, France, German leaves large areas of deforestation. This led to the change to using coal as a replacement for wood as a use of power. Also during this period Ben Franklins starts his flight against Water Pollution. He led of group of Philadelphia to petition the government to stop tannery factories from dumping in the creek, a arbitrary of the Delaware River. He was trying to create awareness about socially responsible investing. The petition stopped the dumping, and helped to set a precedent for the future fight against water pollution. Ben Franklin was a big proponent of the good quality of life through a healthy environment. He advocated for socially responsible investing. He was a keen observer and worked hard to keep the city of Philadelphia environment clean and pure for all its citizens. He saw the necessity for green business even back then. He believed that people could be better and healthier also, by making a few changes in their lifestyle. His foresight, saws observation, and determination to create awareness for environmentally conscious companies to protect the environment, are many of the reasons Ben Franklin is a genius in American history. Anther important person during the Era Of enlightenment was Thomas Robert Malthusian. Malthusian was a British scholar; influential in controversial, in economic, political, social and scientific thought. Malthusian thought that the dangers of population growth depends on the sustainability of the earth † The power of population is indefinitely greater than the power in earth to produce subsistence for man†. In many ways these men were the founding fathers of our environmental polices that we see today. The industrial revolution led to horrifying living conditions people began to understand that unsay Atari living conditions and water contamination contributed to disease epidemics. This new awareness prompted major cities to take measures to control waste and garbage. Progress is slow but the common interest was to establish purr drinking water and sanitation. This was because of the epidemics of typhoid. Conservation of wilderness also started to take place because of a extremely old tree called the â€Å"mother of the forest’. Mother of the forest was an ancient and huge Sequoia Denton tree. The tree lived in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in eastern central California, Ignited States. In the mid-1 sass, Chicago built the first major sewage system in the United States to treat wastewater. Soon, many other U. S. Cities followed Chicago lead. In the United States, industrial chemicals and wastes, including sulfuric acid, soda ash, mercuric acid, limes, dyes, wood pulp, and animal byproducts from industrial mills contaminated waters in the Northeast. Air pollution from automobiles from the industrial processes, and the burning of coal in stories and in homes also became a serious problem. In the 19th century, episodes of smog in cities like New York and London resulted in many deaths. The rising problems of pollution led to the formation of the National Coast Anti Pollution League. It was formed by municipal officials from Atlantic City to Maine who are concerned with oil and sewage pollution detracting from tourism from the areas. Led by Gifford Ponchos, Teddy Roosevelt the league succeeds with an international oil dumping treaty passed by Congress in 1924. In late October of 1948, 20 people were asphyxiated and more than ,000 became seriously ill as the result of severe air pollution over Donors, Pennsylvania. In response was The Air Pollution control act that declared that air pollution was a danger to public health and welfare, but preserved the primary responsibilities and rights of the States and local government in controlling air pollution. The Seventies was the decade of awakening and clean up it began with the birth of the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA is an agency of the federal government of the United States charged with protecting human health and the environment, by writing and enforcing isolations based on laws passed by Congress. Water Pollution was greatly decreased through a massive sewage treatment expansion program. Rivers, which were once sewers, now begin a gradual return from the grave. Air Pollution is cut back dramatically through use of catalytic converters on new cars that use only unleaded gasoline. From 1980-1990 Disasters showed the world the fragile side of industrial technology. The world’s worst industrial catastrophe took place in India a leak of methyl cocaine’s gas from the union Carbide India Limited pesticide plant and resulted in the exposure of he hazardous gas to the local communities. Estimates vary on the death toll. The official immediate death toll was 2,259 and the government of Madhya Pradesh has confirmed a total of 3, 787 deaths related to the gas release. Others estimate that 3,000 died within weeks and that another 8,000 have since died from gas-related diseases. Through these tragedies Environmental reform starts to gain momentum. Several peace seeking ships looking to stop the water pollution were bombed. The Rainbow Warrior was one of the first to take active action on the seas. The ship was active in supporting a number of Greenback protest. In 1990 the Persian Gulf War started to take place. Insurgents burn oil wells releasing hazardous gases into the ozone. In politics there becomes a standoff between conservatives and liberal factions in congress between environments over economic development. China begins production of the Three Gorges Dam, which became the world’s largest capacity hydroelectric power station with a generating capacity of 18,200. The new millennium brought upon changes in the presidents views of environmental policies. Bill Clinton a conservative steps down from the presidency and George Bush steps in to take his place. George Bush lowered environmental regulation on behalf of industry. Barack Obama in 2009 restored environmental and conservative missions for LSI regulatory agencies. Global Climate change became a pressing problem. An increasing number of scientist are warning that Global climate change is problem being created by pollution. All around us there are becoming more and more signs that our long history with pollution is going to have a negative effect on our planet and future generations More than two billion of the world’s poorest people still rely on biomass: wood, charcoal, Animal dung, crop wastes and coal-burning for household energy needs. Use of these fuels indoors leads to high levels of harmful pollution. This exposure increases the risk of diseases such as pneumonia, chronic respiratory disease and lung cancer. This accounts for a substantial proportion of the global burden of disease in developing countries. Evidence is also emerging that exposure may increase the risk of a number of important conditions such low birth rate and cataract. Household pollutants are contaminants that are released during various products in daily life. Hazardous household products fall into six broad categories: household leaner’s, paints and solvents, lawn and garden care, automotive products, pool chemicals, and health and beauty aids. Many commonly used household products in these categories release toxic chemicals. Household cleaners, paints and solvents, lawn and garden care, automotive products, pool chemicals, and health and beauty aids. Many commonly used household products in these categories release toxic chemicals. Insecticides, pesticides, weed killers, and fertilizers that are used for maintaining one’s lawn and garden are another source of household pollution. When these products are to properly kept or properly disposed they may leak into the ground. When these chemicals hit the ground destroy all the nutrients in the soil and plants that are trying to grow. After it rains the pollutants run into local streams that flow into large bodies of water that we use for drinking. The U. S. Is the #1 trash-producing country in the world at 1 ,609 pounds per person per year. This means that 5% of the world’s people generate 40% of the world’s waste. Trash from households plays a major role in our struggle against pollution. Americans generated 251 million tons of trash in 2006. Sixty-five percent name from household trash. Every year, each American throws out about 1200 pounds of organic garbage that can be recycled. The Garbage that does not get recycled get put into large landfills across our country. The problem is because we throw out so much garbage we are running out of room to store it. Another way households add to the pollution problem is through consuming extreme amounts of energy. Most people do not conserve energy so it wastes power and burns through fossil fuels. Energy conservation is also important because consumption of nonrenewable sources impacts the Environment. Households is many Ways add to the rowing pollution problem on our planet As Industries grew larger citizens are forced to contend with staggering quantities of industrial waste. The impact of pollution on the population varied according to prevailing methods of waste disposal, the shifting geography of manufacturing, and changes in the city’s economic strength. Pollutants given off by various industries and factories are often considered to be one of the prime factors contributing to air, water and soil pollution. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), it has been estimated that industrial pollution is responsible for almost 50 percent of the elution present in the United States. The main source of pollution from industries is air pollution. The emission of various greenhouse gases such as CO, methane (CHI), among others from various industries, increases the overall temperature of the earth, resulting in global warming. Dumping of various industrial waste products into water sources, and improper contamination of industrial wastes, often result in polluting the water. This is popular among chemical companies. Industrial wastes contain large amounts of various chemicals whish get accumulated on the top layer of soil resulting of a loss of fertility. This creates large amounts of soil pollution resulting from industry. Industries are a major source of pollution in our country. When industrial catastrophes happen most times it has the most negative effect on Environment. For Example last summer when the BP oilier blew up it dumped gallons of oil into the ocean. The effects of that spill will be felt for the next ten generations. BP lost a large sum of money but you cannot put a price on destroying a habitat for millions of living things. Industries have polluted our environment throughout our history and it will hurt our ecosystems on our lane for years to come. Pollution does not only damage the air it also damages the environments on earths surface. Plants and animals are harmed by air pollution. Sometimes it is the pollutants themselves that cause damage. Other times pollutants combine and change the resources that plants and animals depend upon such as water, soil, and nutrients. When an air pollutant, such as sulfuric acid combines with the water droplets that make up clouds, the water droplets become acidic. When those droplets fall to the ground as rain or snow, the acidity of the water can have damaging effects on the environment. When acid rain falls over an area, it can kill trees and harm animals, fish, and other wildlife. Acid rain destroys the leaves of plants. When acid rain infiltrates into soils, it changes the chemistry of the soil making it unfit for many living things that rely on soil as a habitat or for nutrition. Acid rain also changes the chemistry of the lakes and streams that the rainwater flows into, harming fish and other aquatic life. Thinning the ozone layer from air pollutants harms living things. Air pollution releases gases known as chlorofluorocarbons that destroy ozone molecules in the atmosphere. This leaves ozone holes that which ultraviolet radiation escapes through. Ultraviolet radiation causes skin cancer and damages plants and wildlife. Another Effect of large amounts of air pollution is Global warming. Our planet’s temperature is rising more rabidly than expected because of the additional greenhouse gases. Polar icecaps melt and permafrost melt are causing changes in the habitat and resources for plants and animals that live in these Polar Regions. This has had a major effect in the species on our planet. Disappearing habitats and resources makes it hard for an ecosystem o sustain itself. The earth was cover by 14. 8 billion acres of forest 8,000 years ago. Now only 8. 6 billion of acres remain. Species are currently going extinct at a faster rate than at any time in the past. This is not due to hunting but to chemical pollutants and over harvesting. Years of unregulated pollution have destroyed habitats and drove species to become extinct. There is no simple solution to the pollution problem on our planet. For years we have polluted our planet and have been set in our ways of doing so. The way for our planet to rebuild our ecosystem and reduce pollution is trotter regulations on hazardous waste and switching to renewable resources. Pollution taxes are charged on a per unit basis. Transferable Pollution permits allow firms to emit only the level of pollution, which they have permitted. One option for pollution control is the direct regulation by government officials. The Environmental Protection agency can set the emission standards for particular in industries and products. Also make punishments for going against these laws more severe. Another part of stronger regulation would be a market-based pollution control system. This would put a tax on every emission per unit. These solutions are making it so that pollution is not the cheaper option. The reasons why corporations choose to pollute because its a cheaper option most times then proper disposal. Pollution control clearly has its advantages but it is impossible to predict the total amount a of pollution reduction that will be created. Renewable resources are the way of the future. A major way to reduce the amount of pollution in the environment is using renewable resources that do not cause harm to the environment. Moving away from fossil fuels is important for our planet to achieve. The main types of renewable resource re Wind Energy, Solar power, and hydroelectric power. Wind power is the use of wind to power fan that connects to a turbine that creates renewable energy source. Solar power uses a grid that catches energy that is given off from the sun. Solar polar can generate the most amount of electricity out of the renewable resources. Hydroelectric power uses the current of a body of water to turn a turbine to create electricity. Using this solution will reduce the amount of fossil fuels that are being used on our planet since they are renewable we will never run out. It will be a long time before we see real hangers towards a switch to renewable resources.
